REV designs a new property development (140 apartments) in Villeneuve La Garenne. It is the second stage of an ambitious residential development with french developer COGEDIM. The two projects emphasize the industrial heritage of the area and mark the new entry of the city. The residential typologies are investigated as a laboratory on contemporary living. We have defined the building overlapping two layers: a collective building as an urban ground and some amazing individual housing at the top with a great view and large terraces. The building translate into architecture the two souls of the historical architectural print of the city as an architectural logo, a new manifesto in the city landscape defining the conditions for a better living.
REV has been committed from Jean Philippe Nikogossian, the owner of mythic Parisian bar La Perle, to design his new restaurant at the top of an iconic building in Le Marais district.
Referred to Italo Calvino masterpiece “The baron in the trees”, our aim was to define a place in the hart of the City and at the same time outside the City: the perfect place to welcome the always-increasing number of reality deserters…
We have selected the materials to define a “sophisticated brutalism” aesthetic: precious and rare materials enriching raw surfaces, heritage of construction works.
Architecture as the approach of the opposites.
An ephemeral architecture gives shelter and comfort to the restaurant. As a convertible car, a system of sliding curtain layers allows to close or completely open the space. They protect the clients from the sun and bad weather and fix on their transparent surface the innocent and sensitive traces of the Parisian nights: the nightlights, a drop of water, the ambiguity between transparency and reflection. A dense and sheltering vegetation surrounds the perimeter of the terrace:
the gaze is lost in the city wonder, the line of the horizon feels sparkling.

Le Chateau de la Bourlie conjures an atmosphere of pre-French Revolution splendour.
The gracefulness of the architecture is enhanced by a garden dominated by 18th century clipped yew trees. The question was that in Dordogne region we could easily found a wide range of awesome historical properties rounded by a beautiful countryside.
REV was committed by Commarque family, that owns the castle since XIII century, to create something different poetizing the specificity of the architecture and family culture.
The history of Commarque family and the castle was a challenge for the expression of a new modernity.
In the past history, castles were the places to experiment new trends: a sophisticated mix between the specific expression of a culture and influences coming from faraway exoticisms.
REV renovation project and interiors of La Bourlie aims to drive into modernity these myths. (Photos by Tom Mannion)

To celebrate MAISON&OBJET’s age of Reason and the 20th anniversary of its creation, we were chosen to redesign its Entrance Gallery where visitors are welcomed. A scenography visible from the outside – an intriguing and mysterious presence. We propose a transverse and linear movement, with sparkling ribbons full of lights, shades and colours hanging around. Similar ribbons at first sight, but different in terms of their geometry and theme depending on the series. Ribbons that sometimes wave, blow or spiral: a landmark to catch at a glance the Entrance halls of an exhibition which renews its image renaming each hall. The ribbons’ materiality is unique and precious – light golden bubbles as the ones of a fresh cocktail, holding high the exhibitors’ selection proposed by MAISON&OBJET in September 2015.
The Entrance Gallery is the reflection of M&O’s new identity and its ability to reinvent itself all the time.
